Welcome!

Hello! Thank you for your interest in Von Maqqedah Haus German Shepherds. We are a small hobby breeder in Brevard, NC striving to produce the ideal GSD. Each and every dog we own has been chosen through careful consideration, and met the high standard we have for our dogs.

Von Maqqedah Haus specializes in long coat German Shepherds from working and show lines. When I created this program, my number one goal was creating the ideal dog that people would one day remember as being the best dog they ever owned.

Temperament

A special dog set the high standard for temperament. Anything below him, just wouldn’t cut it.

My goal In this program was to create a social, dependable, driven, dog who could be trusted in any environment. A dog who thought independently enough, but also looked to the handler for direction. I wanted to continue the temperament I look for in service dogs, and glorified pets.

For that reason I’ve chosen a very special group of dogs who fit the bill. Ones who bring strengths where others may fall short.

Most our litters will have show and working lines in their pedigree. I have done this, to get “the best of both worlds”. Where I feel one line may fail, the other gives strength. In doing this you can expect a puppy with correct angulation, good drive, social temperament, health, and of course icing on the cake, beauty.

Health

Health is a priority here. We look for dogs who come from good lines. We have in depth researched our testing system and have created our opinion on what we feel is needed for our dogs, and offspring. No matter the pedigree, or parents, any offspring has a genetic health guarantee. We stand behind our decisions and puppies.

Why do you breed?

For those who know me, or my dogs, know the passion I have regarding this breed. I have put so much time, effort, love, blood, sweat, and tears, into my animals and this program. My dogs are spoiled rotten, but still have structure, jobs, and a routine. They are not kennel dogs, and I take at-least one dog out for a fun day every time I leave the house.

I breed to produce what I feel is the ultimate dog. One who is confident, loyal, and healthy. A dog who can succeed at the job put before them, and create a strong bond with the handler.
